Team has Big Block Ready for Volusia
January 26th.... The members of The Len & Jo's crew have been hard at work during the month of January. The team's #23 Big block is Modified ready to make the trip south.... On February 9th, Billy V will compete in his first Super Dirt Series event at Volusia County Fairgrounds in Barberville,Florida......Danny and Jeremy "Bullfrog" Markle have installed their Precision Built , 750 Horsepower, Big Block Chevy engine under the hood of the former Kyle Ebersole / Bicknell Chassis..... Tom and Jerry Enright have applied some nice graphics..... Tom Laner has been working on the team hauler.... The crew, consisting of Tommy Kline, Jim Williams, Bernard Rhoades, and Bill V Sr have completely gone over all of the cars at the shop and everyone is looking forward to enjoying a week of racing in the state Florida..... Helping to sponsor the trip south are : Johnson & Conroy Insurance, Markle's Store, D & D Napa Auto Supply, E&M Painting, and Len & Jo's Restaurant.
2009 Championship
October 5th .... It's official ! Speedway Entertainment has announced that Billy V has been named The 2009 Tobias Speedstr Midget Points Champion. Everyone at Len & Jo's Racing is extremely proud of this accomplishment. It was a season to remember, and there are a lot of people that helped Billy win this title. Speedway Entertainment Banquet Photo: Local racing artist Scott Munroe presents one of a kind championship paintings to the Speedway Entertainment champions, Matt Reiley (Jrs.), Billy VanInwegen, Jr. (SpeedSTR's) and Cody Kline (All-Stars) January 9th.... Billy and his family celebrated his 2009 Tobias Speedstr Championship at a banquet held in Myerstown,PA. The Lantern Lodge played host to the event and things couldn't have been better. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, as the party lasted well into the morning. Barry Angstadt, did a masterful job as MC and DJ Pete Knappenberger entertained the crowd as well. Rich Tobias addressed the crowd and had several nice things to about Billy. Tobias wished Billy well in his 2010 venture in a Big Block Modified. Local artist and Tobias employee, Scott "Bulldog" Munroe, presented Billy with a beautiful drawing of his 2009 Championship Speedstr Midget. It currently hangs proudly in the VanInwegen Home. Billy and Speedstr promoter, Doug Rose, got a chance to speak about the possibility of Billy running some 2010 Speedstr events. Hopefully this will come together and Billy can continue his long standing relationship with Speedway Entertainment. Now, the team looks forward to the 2010 race season. Billy and the Len & Jo's crew are busy working on the Big Block Modified for a trip to Volusia Co, Florida next month. Billy will be competing in four days of racing with the Super Dirt Series.
